I'm again posting my stock rubber on my '11 WRX. I can't donwload a good pic (due to small size) but will e-mail if anyone is interested. I wouldn't even consider stock tires "high performance" let alone "ultra high performance".




I don't know the proper way to measure tread depth, but I usually use a penny, with Lincoln's head pointing toward the tire.

The class of tire is determined by the manufacturer, just like the UTQG rating.

You can buy a tread depth gauge @ Autozone for a few $$

The penny reference trick MainFrame mentioned also works; a lot of people just do that.
