I do have a MT... My dad has an 02 WRX and has the extension and I haven't seemed to find it bothersome to drive...

I wonder if the preference has to do with height/armlength/short throw vs. stock...?
I am pretty short, and like I said, I have never found myself cursing it... Thanks for the advice though fellas! I just would love to have the extra storage... I'd like to run an audio cord through it for an iPod/iPhone and have it hidden in that extra space..
