    Any interest in one?

Just seeing how much interest there is out there for a version 1 access port say for a 05wrx. I know there is a lot of interest for ap ver. 2. I was thinking of picking one up a ver. 1 and only keeping it for a month or two then going open source.

I donít want to buy it if I cant sell it, so how many people would consider?

If you can get something for $100 or so...why not?

Still works the same way as V2, just doesn't look as pretty and have as many features. If goal is a tune, then it will do everything you need! Plus, you'll get a Stage 1 and 2 map, and the ability for a protuner to use it still if needed...

The one issue with those APs is that Cobb no longer supports them. That puts a decent hit in their resale value.

Is there any particular reason WHY you want to spend money on an AP, and THEN go opensource? Why not just go open source? It's pretty much the same amount of money for the OP cable as the AP V.1, and infinitely more valuable.

If you're worried about maps, there are plenty of OTS maps and user custom tunes that you could use. As long as you know what to log and what to look for, you'll be just fine.

Really makes no sense to me to do this.
