I have 245/40/17 RE-11, shaved to 5/32 that are now 3-4/32. They are ready to go.

Are you running an ST* class in AutoX that you need the 140 treadwear or higher?

I appreciate the offer.... the re-11s are great tires, just not nearly as sticky as what I'm looking for.

The only reason I'm even looking for a DOT tire is so I can drive to the track on them without having to worry about being ticketed..... otherwise, I'd just buy a full race slick. In fact, I'm considering it anyway.

My #1 choices are Hoosier R6s, BFG R1s, or Kuhmo V710s (street legal DOT slicks)..... but I'm more that willing to pick up a set of Advan A048s, NT-01s, etc.

Ok, your post is confusing then. Most of the tires listed do not have a treadwear of 140, save for the RE-01R or NT-01.

DOT race tires & 140+ treadwear are mutually exclusive.

Sorry.... yea.... 140 treadwear was the absolute lowest I would want to go... and thats only because tires this size are hard to find used.

NT-01s are a TW of 100
Advan A048s are a treadwear of 60
R1s, V710s and R6s I believe are rated at 40.
