hi i have a link here from autotrader of a used white sti. It has really low miles but when i look at the engine the TMIC looks a little different i might be that it was swapped out can anybody tell me from the picture if its a legit sti? That looks like a WRX intercooler. Which is smaller than the STI Intercooler.
There is only one reason, I can think of, to explain why it's got a WRX intercooler.
Previous owner installed an aftermarket intercooler, and sold the stock one. Then when it was time to trade it, they picked up whatever they could for cheap (WRX intercooler), and sold the aftermarket one.

will the car run properly with that wrx intercooler or you dont recomend me getting that car?
That intercooler will technically work. It will cool the charged air, but it will not work as well as the STI specific one, and that's a problem in SoCal.
The WRX one is not up to the STI Spec, and should they should replace the intercooler with the correct one before it's purchased.
