    K&N Products by Vehicle Search - Year, Make, Model, Engine Search

    Why does that not show up when I search for it?

    Got a part number?

    :: edit ::

    found it, sort of

    69-8000TP is the part number claimed from this page

    K&N Typhoon Cold Air Intake for 02 07 Subaru WRX & 04 05 STI - 69-8000TP

    Yet when I search on K&N's site - K&N part search for air filters, oil filters, air intakes & more.

    I get "No products found, please try your search again"

    The only reason I went through the research is that WRX/STI are known for being very picky about which intakes they run corectly with. I have the K&N Typhoon SRI on my car which is supposed to be safe with the stock tune from Subaru. I've had it on the car since installing the vf34 and have never had a problem, even when running with Cobb's vf34 map.

    Filter is in great shape, I used it with the outwear and it was on my car less then a year.

    Part number is 69-8000. Here is a copy of the instructions.

    One thing, I am missing the little "edge trim" piece in step 23, but you can just use a $.50 rubber hose with a sliced down the middle like a hot dog bun, and it will do the same thing. It's not really necessary though for the install.

    Still amazes me that people buy these things, congrats on the sale though.
