Alright so here's the deal, I got this ring for my wife thinking, diamonds + gold = AWWWWW...but not this time. She doesn't like it, although she was very grateful, and it took me quite a while to find out why she wasn't wearing it...but obviously I can't return it!!!

It's a genuine Damiani lady's diamond ring, look them up it's a world famous family jeweler. It cost $4,895. new, and is still in new condition, she wore it ONCE. The center row is 58 pave set diamonds of GORGEOUS cut, clarity and color. I just had it polished and appraised by a GIA board certified jeweler, David Arlen at David Arlen Jewelers in Hainsport, NJ on rte 38. It's appraised for $4,800. and he will transfer the appraisal over to it's new owner at no charge.

I need to get rid of it. I will take REASONABLE/ REAL cash offers, and I will even take trades of equal value or lesser plus cash...

-COBB AP
-TBE exhaust

The whole gold and diamond industry is worse than any car stealership. It's closely controlled, and consumers over the last 60 years have been brainwashed by ad campaigns and great marketing.

What can you do though? Absolutely nothing.

Overall, that sucks man. I hope you can sell it, but you're going to have to take a loss. That's just the way it goes. Probably the best thing you can try to do is trade up or down to something your lady likes.

BTW, I think that tree is a flowering plum tree.

Jewelery is tough, once you buy something you're stuck with it...what can I do other than take a cash hit, or trade it for something? I posted a couple of ads elsewhere to trade for something for her, and an ad on here for something for me...at this point, you take what reasonable offer you can get. I had some lady offer to trade it for a women's Rolex, but my wife would DESTROY a nice watch, so would I for that matter!

BTW, I think that tree is a flowering plum tree.

I'd have guessed a jacaranda since a plum would look darker IMO - my plum tree is darker than that; I see jacarandas that are that 80s "bright" colour.

There are certain varieties here in the midwest and east that flower purple like that. I kept it generic as just a "flowering plum tree," however. There is no fruit, just flowers in the spring. My other guess would be a prairie fire crabapple (more pink flowers), but the trunk looks different.
