    i have STI springs on my wrx and it does lower it a tiny bit. very tiny. dont look at my avitar pic. it was on perrin springs then.

    It does lower it a little bit but improves the handling a lot more then the factory wrx springs.
    Here is a pic of my car with STI springs and 235/45/17:

    i was never on stock wrx springs. with perrins it handled amazing but the ride sucked. the STi springs were softer but amuch better ride of course. my car looks lower then stock wrxs i think.
