You'd probably be better off buying a new one than shipping a used one. If you can find one for pickup you'd probably work out a little cheaper but god only knows what they did to the hood before you got it. Touchless car washes and waxes like turtle wax destroy carbon fiber finishes.

Additionally, companies that sell a lot of carbon fiber hoods put a lot of effort into packing the hoods to prevent damage. They're usually double boxed, bubble wrapped and bolted to wood to protect the edges. By the time it's all said and done they weigh 20-45 pounds. The packing materials required to ship the carbon fiber hood safely will probbaly cost you at least $40 and unless you have a good LTL account you'll pay out the butt to ship because of the dimensional weight.

Do a google search for "carbon fiber hoods" and check out all the guys on the first page and compare pricing. You'll probably find that it won't be much more to get a new one.

you cant beat though just taking a drive and at least pay for paint($100-$150)for the hood,for a c.f. in good condition.
