I have an 03 stg 2, love it and its pretty fast for the money i put into it.

I just got my 02 about a month ago and it is amazing!!! You definitely wont be disappointed.

Be VERY VERY careful when buying one. Mine has 75k miles on it and in the 15k ive owned lets go through the list....
-Needed new turbo (the new one is still crap)
-Needed new fuel system
-at one point needed a new tranny
-cv joint is bad
-Started to misfire 2 months ago, got it fixed for 550
-Misfiring again and needs a 3300 dollar repair

Definition: LEMON

just my word of advice be really careful get lowest miles you can and go for an 03, im not much informed on the technical difference but im sure they fixed some things considering the 02 was the first year...

To add onto this, i've had a few friends that rushed into buying their cars and had similar problems. Try to buy one owner cars that you can get information from the owner. I personally bought mine from an old timer and hoped it wasnt trashed on and I have been lucky so far.

+1 apparently the first owner on mine was an asian guy and second a woman its an automatic btw so i didnt think it would be thrashed on. to add on to that automatic was the worst decision ever wrx is so much more fun in manual, but then again it really wasnt my choice...

Did your parents pick the car out for you?? One of my friends also got stuck with an auto simply because his parents were worried about him driving on hills around the seattle area.

yeah she pulled that and the "with a manual you will be tempted to race blah blah im an idiot and so forth"
frankly i find it more tempting to do stupid stuff in an auto...put the foot to the floor and away you go...

Just some exterior stuff...But I am planning on going to stage 2 soon. I bought mine with 115k, I got an amazing deal, and it still runs like new. I am really glad I got it

thanks for the info!!!!! i will deff be carefull and check the car out as much as possible. for when i test drive it is there any thing i shud look for in wise of what urs felt lyk when that stuff went bad??????

imo 02-03 is one of the best styling..
