I apologize if this a dumb question but here it goes:
does this item include a flywheel? If not, is it recommended to purchase one? Thanks for your time!

I can answer this for you. Clutch kits usually don't include a flywheel. This one I can tell does not. You usually do not need a flywheel with a clutch replacement. I say usually because I had to be the one to find out otherwise. If your clutch is currently slipping it is damaging your pressure plate and flywheel, the sooner to replace it the better. I waited to long and did damage to my flywheel beyond what could be "turned" out of it. So if your clutch is still solid no flywheel needed. If its slipping bad, you may just want to order your kit with one to save your self a huge headache and a coulple hundred in shipping fees.
ive used this clutch, it gets my vote, good deal![]()
nevermind, I can see the part number on the box is 15803 according to the website thats for:
15803 2004-06 Impreza WRX STI "Turbo, Pull Type, US Model"
15803 2004-07 Impreza WRX STI "2.5L EJ25T Turbo, Pull Type, US Model"
I need 15802 which is
15802 2002-04 Impreza WRX "Turbo, Pull Type, (GC8, GF8, GDA)"
15802 2002-05 Impreza WRX "2.0L EJ20T Turbo, Pull Type, (GC8, GF8, GDA)"
and an 06-07 WRX guys need
15804 2006-07 Impreza WRX "2.5L EJ25T Turbo, Push Type"
You should change you post so that it reflects this will only fit 04-07 sti without modification. I believe you can put an sti clutch on an 02-05 wrx but it requires some grinding to the transmission

it's more cost affective to do the fly and clutch at the same time. If you don't do the fly wheel while the tranny is dropepd the labor will easily excessed the cost of the fly wheel. Looking at 400-500 just on the labor alone to dropp the tranny and put it back on again.
