    Apexi AVC-R
** You have 2 base maps say one for normal and one for road race. Say the base boost is 18psi. or 1.24 bar. You can go into each gear and adjust 1 - 30%. Adjusting higher gears or rpm’s to a lower boost.
    Example:
    1st + 5
    2nd + 7
    3rd + 8
    4th + 2
    5th and 6th - 2

The FP Green will do 1.8 bar [26.1 psi] easy. Watch the knock sensor lights. har.

The AVC-R also has a scramble mode for 2 -6 seconds that is a little scary. I don't recommend using it. It also has instant read out on a large dislay and records top boost and is easily cleared for the next run after adjusting.
It will be all set up - instructions included, and you can always call or e-mail with concerns.

    Cheers

Time before the car is ready

The WRX is waiting for my Mechanic to install the CP forged pistons. He says he needs a Saturday to himself to do it. [could be three weeks] Then break-in for about 1,000 miles [May need adjustments after a few drives??] before I have pdx dyno and road tune. The are booked up and meticulous and too knowledgeable not to take the wrx up in perfect shape. I’m sure they wont be happy after just one tune.

I’m thinking about three to four months until finish / Late May. Plus I’d like to drive it for awhile. If I’m happy with the car, you’ll be happy. I hope you will understand.

You're welcome to take a look. I never did drive around town much, plus you may not have noticed except for the 18" SSR competitions. I would take it out to Triangle Lake, Loraine hwy, other mtn rds. I once got passed by what I thought was a nice looking Toyota. So I decided to catch him. He was braking hard into corners trying to stay in front. I passed him fairly easy. Turned out it was Joe College in an M3. I didn't even know what that was until I asked Pete at Eurosport. I just thought it was same ol, same ol. har. Maybe he was a crummy driver. But he couldn't corner with me and definitely could not keep up on the straight stretch's.

    Asking 20gr / obo

I've been comparing prices of built wrx's. I think I will ask $20,000 for the car now that the pistons and heads are on. It depends on how the tuning goes. If the car dynos out at 340whp on 92 Octane and 380whp with water injection on mild tunes I think it will be worth it.
It only has 35K on it and most of the parts have much less. It should never need another mod of consequence, and the mods that are in are all quality parts.
Of course it will be or best offerso it doesn't change a whole lot.
My next possible mods would be.
1- A 20g turbo. One step down from my FPGreen.
2- Take out the AVC-R, so the operator [me] can't go overboard.
3- An expensive double or triple disc clutch. Although Pete has said it is good to build in a point of failure into the system instead of twisting an axle, etc.

The car isn't a dragster {no wrx is] it's built for canyon driving and is very hard to touch. Although launching is bad ju ju imo it will definitely out perform if you want it to. Launching in a controlled manner the car will not fade away when you get into the top gears.

I'll post dynographs from pdx. My peeve is I spent way to much money on the car (about $19,000) and swore I will not do that anymore.

    Cheers

    Dave

Edit: I may step up to a more sophisticated water injection system. I was promised a good deal on the next step up from pdx. /// I know I said no more mods.

    Correction:
Sent the v2 Cusco lower arm bar back in exchange for the White Line quick release rear strut tower bar which is important for a wagon.

    For sale: $2,095 obo

    ooops 20,095
The car dyno tuned at 320whp and 336# torque. That was on the EkuTeK base engine management only. My tuner had problems with the UTEC that is on top of the EkuTek so he did not tune for it. That leaves about 50 freewhp on the table.

The car pulls hard and very smooth all the way to 6th. In fact the way it is set up it gets stronger the higher gear one goes. [I never liked stop to stop light racing as it gets tickets and eats the engine and trans.]

With all of the suspension mods I''ve put in it will eat up an M3, a Vette or a built Japanese bike on country roads and never let you feel out of control. The car rides better doing freeway miles than it did before also. Tein Coilovers +.

    Things that need work.
    1. Tires are about 1/2 worn
    2. I or you can get the UTEC working for the Water / Water Methanal map.
    3. I was also going tune it for the above + two gals of toluene at 114 Octane. That puts the tank at about 104 Octane. Turn on the water / water Meth injection and you have a car that pulls like a bull.
    4. I can't say enough about how the cars handles. It rides like a fat ol Vette on the Freeway but on Canyon roads it will eat up a Jap bike with 12" tires on the back.
