I prefer to think of it as WRX assisted suicide.

nope...thats off of siskiyou a right turn jsut before it turns into I-5...the snowy ones are at the middle school, and the blue sky one is at the top of mt A.

and by the way, i spun out on buckthorn too, just before the power plant coming towards ashland. in my saab my first week in ashland i was exploring and i took it a little fast, and as i corrected the wheel everythign was just peachy, but the dirt turned inbto more of a grippy ashpahlt/dirt mix and i regained all traction as i was correcting. needless to say, i spun the oppostie way while my back end was dragging in that little ditch and i ended up facing the way i had come....it was so fun!

the only time ive spun the sube ws up the old highway in the snow, but it was fun and not scary cause of teh wideness and the fact that i provoked seeing how far i could go before i spun!
we need to go for a non-pin-out drive soon gang! my car is so fresh and so clean inside and out i need ot drive it!

    oh yeah!
i also spun after installing (i forget what) and giving wade-o a ride. i ended up spinning on the entrance to my road off of siskiyou blvd....very sudden with 180 just from a somewhat normal speed turn. turns out my camber and toe was severly messed up from a bent piece that resulted from a previous ice/curb/lots of swearing incident involving my rim.

I think my little adventure was just past the power plant... was it a left turn going the opposite way? If so- coulda been the exact same turn- maybe it's a doozy.

And I'm down for a caravan-style drive also... I think the best time would be a weekday evening, as the days are still getting longer and that's when we'll have the road as much to ourselves as possible... it looks like tomorrow or the next day may be pretty sunny, if you were itching to drive and didn't want to wait for the coast drive.

How about my border run idea? Do any of you know if Old 66 is gravel or paved all that way?

Got my new wheels put on today after about a week of trying to work things out with cheaper wheels and powdercoating. I went back to the original plan and ended up with the 17x7 Oz Racing Superleggeras and Michelin Pilot Sport PE2 tires. Advantage Tire pricematched me with TireRack.com so I'm very happy. So far the ride is very good in my opinion, but I'm going to wait about a week before I test out the handling abilities.

Nah I don't want to put much more money into the car. I'd like to get an exhaust system in the future and upgrade the brakes maybe but that's it.
