Hey gang. Still not driving a Subaru anymore, but still would be nice to check in on the community now and then. If you guys don't mind a ratty old BMW following you guys around on some drives, shoot me a PM or call 292 2003 I'm always down for a drive, just a little more weather-dependent than yall this time of year. I don't have the courage to crash in on the Subaru meets but if I have advance knowledge of a drive I would love to sneak on in line!

So I am in love with the whole Jacksonville - Grants Pass Applegate area. Never really got out there and I found the redwoods-style roads I miss. Heavenly out there.
Little applegate, poorman's near the rogue valley were fun and one empty road that was the way to lake Selmac near Selma that was empty and had some wacky convoluted camber was a highlight. cheers

SOIC meets: Monday at 7:30 at Mucho Gusto in Medford.
We've got some drives coming soon... If you hit the meet this Monday, I'm gonna have my camera. There's a parking structure at Providence Medical Center (30 second drive from Mucho Gusto) that's awesome for pics (and making your exhaust like 20 hojillionty times louder).
I'm gonna talk to NW OBS (Mike) about doing a mini-drive, maybe up old Hwy 99 (from Ashland to Mt. Ashland), or something in the Applegate, on the weekend. Day trip type thing.
I also want to organize a trip to Crater Lake this summer, I'm sure we'll do some more Greensprings runs (that was awesome), and I'm also positive we'll do another canyon run up to Clamoya Casino (that was FREAKING AWESOME, stock 2002 WRX wagon keeping up with a tuned 450 whp 2004 STi with an experienced driver in the twisties [for the most part] was a blast).
I'm also going to try to get a few of our local guys to head to a few Bend meets with me, they are doing a few drives as well that I want to sit in on.My poor wagon's about to hit 100k, might as well beat the poor thing into the ground as it gets there.
Oh, before I forget. If you read this and it's past the month of April: We will be moving back to our summer meet in May, which is at Sonic. Um, the Sonic just East of Central Point (next to the Central Point freeway exit and the Pilot gas station). We also allow non-Subies into SOIC, provided they're owned by friendly people, and somewhat performance oriented. No 1981 Honda civics that are breaking down, but 2008 Mitsubishi EVO X is welcome.
im in southern oregon enough to possibly meet up with you guys at sonic.
Cant wait to mob in a pack of 30 wrxs!
Turnout is kinda flakey, though... At sonic, sometimes we fill an entire row, then the next week, there's 4 people there. Through the winter, it was mostly just 6 or 7 of us showing up every time, depending on people's work plans and such.
hahahahaha no 1981 honda civics, but hell lets invite a car worth 10x what a 02 bugeye is currently worth. They are worthy.. Ugh I love it..

One couple had a 1980's GL wagon... But, obviously, someone with a beater that doesn't own a Subie that's still a fan or whatnot would be welcome. It would be pointless having random people show up... We went on some drives and didn't have any incidents of people being toolbags or doing illegal/offensive/retarded/etc. things, and that's kinda how we want to keep it. We don't want to turn into 'Medford Tuners 2.0'
Justin checking in....
I'm still holding out for the Sonic meets and the future local runs. Come on May!
BTW, I think I saw you either yesterday or the day before Sarra driving down Table Rock, I was in the 2007 WRB WRX.Don't know if it was you, but it was a Gray Wagon that looks exactly like yours.
Also, if anyone is interested, my band is playing a show over at Shenanigan's 4/24 and 4/25. We're called Tallboy. We usually play outside, so it's a great time! TallBoy on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads
