    Hi All-

New to this thread. I am located in Bend and recently traded in my 2010 WRX hatch for a 2013 WRX hatch. The 2010 had a couple of mods and the new ride is stock of course, kinda missing the little extras....

I enjoy the new WRX but am ready to make a couple of mods and have decided to start with the suspension as the the car feels really "loose" to me and affects my cornering confidence. We don't have a lot of choices here in Bend for performance shops so I began reaching out to the Portland Area. I called PRE to inquire about sway bars and the gentleman I was talking mentioned they had a set of slightly used (1000 miles) GTWorks struts and springs. The price seemed good for the total package which included install and alignment. I am considering this option and am also considering a set of new sway bars. Right now it is an either or situation not both at once.

Does anyone think I should have concerns about purchasing used shocks/ struts? In your opinions would this be a smarter upgrade than swaybars as the first mod? I Just want to eliminate the body roll on the car and improve its cornering ability. I use the car as a "spirited" daily driver and the occasional pleasure drive on one of a million awesome roads around here.

    Thanks for your opinions.

An HKS exhaust isn't going to keep you from passing DEQ. Removing and replacing your downpipe may depending on your test facility. Some mirror under the car to see a "cat" some just plug in and check. With proper engine management you should be able to pass DEQ regardless of catless or non

I guys I'm still pretty new to boosted cars, I've had my WRX for a little while now but i'm still learning. I was wondering what is to know about a manual boost controller. And if Prosport product is of decent quality. I was looking at their electronic boost guage and I saw the manual boost controller. Just wondering what you guys think about them.

No manual boost gauges on subarus. Bad idea.

Yeah, you should research here and on Nasioc. Lots of info on why the ecu and manual boost controllers don't get along.

    Happy tuning.

I was just at the DEQ a few weeks ago, I have a catted Cobb DP, and SPT exhaust. No problem passing.

Manual Boost Controllers are so limited. Get a Perrin EBCS!
