Although the bolt you guys put in the EGT bung on my up pipe came out the other day. Talk about serious moment of panic, I thought my turbo had just disintegrated. Quick fix later and no more air cooled VW bug sounds. I think it had been working loose for a while as now that I have a new one in there it seems to be a bit more consistent in power.

So I just turned 90,000 Miles and I think I need some new belts. My AC belt gets REALLY noisy when its wet. Think I can do the belts at home? I have no idea how much it would cost to have a shop do it. I dont have any belt pullers, but a full set of sockets and such.

And why are all the other bugeyes driven by people ten years younger then me now??

belts are easy if you dont have the time to do it we can do it for .5 hours labor and belts from subaru are about 18 bucks a piece or so. just give me a call at the shop tomorrow and I can get you an exact quote and if you want to do it your self I can give you detailed instructions to do it your self. All you need to do it is a 12 mm socket and a 12 mm wrench.

So at the beginning of the week I emailed up asking if the car would be ready for pickup. Response was car should be ready to go. Have not heard yet whether its done or not.
