Nub hello, and Help misfire?

Hello all,
I Ben from Oregon, but I'm up here in Lewis Washington in the Army. I just got back from Afganhistan and bought my first 02 WRX. I LOVE this car and plan on doing a lot of work to it, but right now I've had a issue come up that I hope you all can help me with.

First off it started to cut out/act weird at 4500+ rpm's, and then the check engine light came on. Now it idles really ruff like a misfire. It just happened today so I haven't had the chance to check the code nor do I have the tool too. Does anyone have any idea where to start?

O2 sensor? Hard to tell until you get the code, which I'm assuming you already have since this thread is a month old. haha. Repost and let us know what it was.

look up a place right by you called PIA. pacific import auto. they deal only in subaru. if you LOVE your car that much, get it in before that small issue turns into a large issue
