Why don't you try it out????Originally posted by fatgroundhog
Some may be tired of hearing me say this, but I'm eager for someone to try it out. In Japan, I guess one mod is to tie zip ties around the rubber brake lines; it gives the same functionality of stainless steel lines, but very cheap. Give it a shot!

Stainless Steel lines are only $100 for all (4)!!! I might be doing this and pads sometime in the Fall. We'll see what kind of money I stumble upon.

Whats up with your luck lately?
Note to self.....stay away from Shibby
Would I have to cover the lines in zipties or place them every 3" or what? I would be willing to try it since I have about 500 zipties laying around.Originally posted by fatgroundhog

i'd assume right next to each other. if you leave space between them, then there is room for the rubber lines to expand. let me know if it works....personally, i haven't felt any problems yet with autocrossing and such, but then i've never used steel braided lines or anything comparable yet.Originally posted by subieworx

breaking down and looking at a mod...wife ok...power or performance?
from the outside looking in you don't understand from the inside looking out you can't explaine
What's your money limit? I say performance all the way. Maybe a cat-back if you're aloud to spend that much. Plus Wagner and most dealer's shouldn't care about a cat-back too much. I hear the rear sway bar and endlinks are a good choice also if you decide to go the suspension route.Originally posted by rlem00

AccessPORT is always nice too, but I'm not sure if you can spend $595?

just do what i did told my parents (in this case your wife) that your just gonna buy a little, then 17 inch wheels, catback, and accessport (still waiting) later, your finished. all in all, i think around 2 grand...kinda pricey, but i feel it was a great first modding route![]()
um, if you want cheap, i've got a boost controller i'll sell to ya![]()

P.S. Did you install your exhaust? If so how do you like it?

Yeah I found ultimate for around 80$ for all 4 corners. I realize there are better but are the Ultimates better than stock?

I've heard that the Ultimate pads are a street pad and better than stock. Not very fade resistant for AutoX however. I don't know though cause I'm still on stock pads and rotors.

put it all on friday morning. i loved getting the chance to start it up without any exhaust, kinda makes me wish i just put on a straight pipe, but that doesn't go too well in Toledo. But I do love the sound, now i just need a dp so I can hear the turboOriginally posted by integratowrx
