KillPaulHogan - What are you doing for lunch today? If you haven't gotten the AP thing figured out, I'd be willing to meet up to help you figure it out. Let me know either way.

KillPaulHogan - You should be able to install the Map Management Sofware on your PC at work (or wherever) from Cobb's website:

    http://www.cobbtuning.com/sti/accessport/

    1. Download the 1.2 Map Management Software to your PC and install it.
    2. Download the Stage1/93 Oct Map to your PC, in addition to the other maps you might want on your AP (Anti-Theft, Valet, etc)
    3. Load up the Map Management Sofware and copy over all the maps you just downloaded onto your AP. I wouldn't trust the ones on the CD you got with the AP, they are always posting newer revisions.

I have a Suicide Prevention Training class at 12:00 that will go for 30 mins. After that can we meet up for lunch? Let me know if that works, sorry for the delay. My cell is: 937-684-2531

I tried that and the map manager software, updated to 1.2, can't connect to an uninitialized AP.

Oh wait, they didn't get you up and running with the .exe? I thought that lets you initialize with your car with no garbled gook? Have you sucessfully done the "initial" base map flash with the AP yet?

    EDIT:
    You said this earlier.
Looks like it's initialized but none of the maps got loaded on.

    EDIT2:
You might want to scrap plans for lunch until you get the AP initialized with your STI and the base map loaded onto your ECU. Your lunch time might be better served on the phone with the Cobb folks than with me (who can't do anything till you get it initialized with your ECU)

It's the Ap itself that seems initialized. I didn't mean that it's initialized with the actual car because there it no base maps loaded on the unit to initialize with.

Tubby- didn't see you at the suicide training...

In development, there are three major points: 1. price, 2. reliability, 3. schedule. Cobb has done a really good job for us WRX guys, and was trying to apply the same knowledge to the XT and STi. They crunched price and schedule, but seem to have gotten bitten by the reliability (not enough testing so they could get it out quickly). Hey, it happens, even to multi-million dollar defense programs.

I know that doesn't help the folks with a Forrester-shaped paper weight in their garage.
