Hey, i think theres about 5-6 of us on this board within 20 minutes of each other. I figured I'd start a roll call thread just to see how many of us there are.

I'll start it off:
Jason, 17
I'm located near the intersection of wilmington pike and whipp. You'll usually see me driving on 48.
04 WRB WRX, a few mods right now. Hopefully Cobb Stage 2 by next year.
Dear Customers:
We received a call this morning from Cobb Tuning informing us that they will be shipping the 2004 STi AccessPorts this afternoon to us with overnight delivery, and we will receive them tomorrow on 6/8/04. As soon as we receive the units, we will try to turn them around as quickly as possible and ship them out to all of our customers.
As for the Forester XT AccessPort units, Cobb informed us that they will be shipping the units to us later in the week probably Thursday or Friday as some of the finishing touches just got implemented last week and they promise the units will be impressive.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time; and we appreciate your patience.
Just got that email about the accessport as well. Don't know if they'll have it by thursday for a test. What about Hamilton?
Government guys, wanna morn Reagan with a meet on Fri at noon? (j/k)
So this weekend was incredible. Took the STi to Beaverun out in Pittsburg for a NASA HPDE event. Never been on a track before so I didn't know what to expect. Learned so much about the car, especially what it's like somewhat near it's threshold. My instructor was pretty good. He traded with another guy to be with me cause he had an STi himself (he tracks an 2.5 RS mostly now.) He had a few STi particular points to make during the course. So I learned a few things this weekend: 1) Thought I knew a little about racing, but I don't, 2) Being a good driver takes a lot of work, 3) The STi is a lot of car, being apprehensive, I was barely on the floor, 4) I'm for sure doing it again and I'd definately recommend it to anyone.
My friend and I were out at the track at the same time so I didn't get a chance for video. They did take a few pics but haven't posted them. Will show em off if I can find them.
Oh yeah and there the only other WRX out there got involved in a pretty significant wreck. Some BMW spun in front of him in a turn and he couldn't avoid him. He was heavily modded and had some pretty significant damage. Felt really bad for him. Poor guy.
Off to scrub about a 1/4 inch of brake dust off the wheels.
Yeah that sounds like lots of fun. Although with my luck, I'd probably be the one to trash my car. Insurance doesn't cover accidents on a track either do they?
Interesting to note the insurance question. Saturday it rained all day and the track was super wet, no standing water though, so it was a somewhat frequently discussed topic. As a result there were quite a few wrecks.
All policies are different but the average policy will cover you once for an accident involved in a defensive driving school. So those guys should be ok. Then again it all depends on their specific policy.
yo. ya, i'm still here. finals were at the end of last week and the begining of this week, so i've been bogged down with hw and papers to write. sucks, but only 2 more days of class! still have a 3 page paper to finish up and it's due tomorrow.
anyway though, i'm down for meeting up this saturday if that's the plan. was going to go ahead and get some more mods, but I think i'm giving in and going to get a new comp. mine still runs well, but is old and really need a new platform. just don't know what to get yet, and it's quite frustrating.
sounds like you had fun dave, i'd be up for that sht sometime np.
As for the insurance at those events.... There was a guy over on NASIOC who called USAA BEFORE he went, to ask if he would be covered. Apparently, because he asked.... they dropped him. I find this hard to believe with USAA, but you never know. There is probably more to the story than whats being told, but who knows.... could be true??? Anyways, be careful researching if your insurance covers you or not.
We have finally received all of the 2004 STi AccessPorts and we are currently preparing them for shipping to you. We promise we will get each and every unit shipped out today. Just give us time today to work on that however J
The Forester XT AccessPorts will be shipped to us this Friday is our understanding, so unfortunately, Forester owners will need to wait one additional week before we can ship their units out.
You guys are funny. I mean, I remember those same quick postings whenever I heard something new about the AccessPort. I love it! I was so anxious to get it, and now I'm sitting on my bed in my room and haven't driven my car for 12 days now. Frustrating...
I should be up for a meet on Saturday, I won't have the WRX though, and I'll be on crutches most likely. We'll have to see what I'm feeling up for, but I do want to meet the new guys.
My roommate is taking my WRX to a Car Show at his brother's college in PA I guess. HE said he'd wax and clay bar it, so I said he could take it for the show. I don't really have a show-worthy ride I don't feel. At least its not stock, right?

You're right, it's just that I would probably never enter a car show with my car. It's funny that it takes my roommate Tom to do it for me. Should be fun times, my car vs. alot of college kid rides. I'll probably have more bling and money in my ride than most, but I'm sure I have 100x less neon, aluminum wings, bodykit pieces, spinner wheels, PS2/Xbox, pound you in the face subs than most.
he he
PS - 2 horns is completely Shibby!! (Where is that kid?)
BTW, no more best buy for me. I'm interning at THT Presses, Inc. over the summer. They're paying me double what Best Buy did, so Cobb Stage 2 will be a reality soon.
The saturday afternoon meet's don't occur every single saturday. Just if enough people post that they might show up. I went to Mr. Cheng's Saturday night, but I was the only suby there.
Let's plan to meet up this Saturday. I won't be able to bring my ride (as mentioned earlier), but I'm down with meeting any of the new guys or getting rides in the STI's. (I've never had one yet by the way...)
Although since I haven't been in one for a little while, my dire need for an STi is fading. I'd like to get a slightly used one for a good price, but it's not the best idea financially right now.
