    Stuttering/Missing

    I've always had great luck on here getting answers to my Subie questions, so I'm hoping you guys can help me out again. I've just started noticing (within the last week) that my car will stutter, almost like it's missing, when I accelerate. It's not a consistent problem in that it only happens intermittently, and not always in a certain gear. I've noticed it twice now in about a week, once early in my drive home, and this morning about 35 minutes into my drive as I was pulling away from a stoplight. It's not occurring when I'm in the turbo, so it's not turbo lag. Like I said, the best thing I can compare it to would be like it's missing, but it's so random, I don't know why it would happen only every once in a while. Any ideas/experiences?

    Thanks as always

    Please include year, model, mileage and mods as well as if there were any CEL codes.

    2014 Impreza WRX Premium. 17,000 miles. No mods, bone stock. I don't know what CEL codes are, so I can't help you with that.

    Take it to your dealer. That's the beauty of a warranty :-P

    Cel= check engine light.

    Yeah if it isn't the airfilter or something silly take it to the dealer and let them do their job. If you want any feedback on their diagnosis let us know.

    If you aren't noting any dip in rpms, and if this happens between like 1500-2500 rpms, then this is just a problem with the stock tune. It was explained to me to be lean spots in the fueling curve likely for emissions purposes. My 2011 did this and it when away after I had my car tuned. It doesn't hurt anything, it is just annoying.

    Thanks, guys. Ya, I don't really feel like it's a major issue, but it sure is annoying.
