    Chicago Subi Shop???

    Hi guys,

I'm looking for local knowledge of Chicago area shops. Good and bad..... I've already found a bad one and certainly need to be advised away from others.... but really would like to find a Subi Shop that knows their stuff and is friendly.

I have a 2003 Impreza WRX wagon with 70K+ miles and Chicago's lovely weather has begun to take it's tole. Thinking of doing some upgrades on turbo back exhaust, intake, suspension, etc. but have no garage or local mechanic to trust.

    Thanks,

    BulletSubi

DS1 performance is an awesome shop. I know they specialize in trannys, but Dylan is very awesome to deal with. Check them out They are just outside Chicago. I wish they were in Detroit. Enjoy them there local to you

I don't know which shop you had a problem with but, I've had success with 3 of the major ones: P&L/AMS/DS1. We're pretty lucky in this region to have so many choices.

It's been a while since I've been to GRD (or any performance shop for that matter) but I always had a good experience when I went there.

I've heard a lot of good things about P&L, but sadly I've never been there myself
