The new lay-out is fixed to 1024x??? and so it will not expand to your sizing. We found that most of our users had 1024 or smaller.

Just resize your IE to fit the perfect size, and Mac users can just hit the green button.

One of my favorite changes is that now the Stickied threads are a different color so you can differentiate them from actual new posts!

I think you have to manually drag the window to make it smaller. Mac's have a button that automatically fits perfectly.

It is a issue w/ larger resolution screens b/c we are so used to smaller resolution where windows took up the whole screen, but now w/ high res screens you can view more than one window at a time in full size.

it MAY grow on me, but that doesn't make it ok...
I think that 08 at the top sums the entire thing up.
    You've blemished a wonderful thing.
You've taken its wonderful features and turned it into a bland, annoyingly awkward POS...
pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease tim, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease make it go away. white hurts the eyes!!! forum doesn't fit on the screen, I have to scroll over!!!!
If you change it back I'll buy 4 shirts, and a hoodie...

The new left nav is a waste of space. Once you've scrolled down a couple posts you can't see it, and there is just a big empty gap on the left.

    Thumbs down

Sorry for being a little blunt but.... I hate the new look.

It reminds me of I-club. From the colors to the "Online now status" thing. I hate the adds on the side, every time I go to click on the main forums I get the hompage, and now we have to search to get to everything.

I like the "old" main page where we had like everything out in the open. Not 10000000 little click under each title.

Awww well, I'm just one man I suppose.

I think its alright. Doesn't really matter how it looks as long as the content is the same and I can find what I'm looking for.

Only thing is I miss the "new post" button that was on the top bar in the old system.

If you click "Forum" it will get you to the directory of all forums not the homepage w/ your avatar in the middle.

The "old" main page had way too many forums and it was confusing to figure out where to post a new topic (mainly confusing to new members). Now we have the site broken down into three areas:

    Community
    Marketplace
    Modifying

    • Community is a place for general/subaru chat. nothing technical.
    • Marketplace is the same
    • Modifying is for technical chat of course and it is broken down into specific areas of discussion and forum names were made more informative and less vague.

We also merged some of the forums that could be together instead of seperate.
