There isn't one for the WRX specifically yet. I'm generalizing based on the new headlight ratings they're doing. There are plenty of tests on several other cars/trucks though. Auto manufacturers are taking notice already & making improvements. They got ahead of themselves with the endless LED design possibilities and forgot about functionality. My personal experiences based on the conditions and my actual car is that there's plenty of room for improvement. I can't even see the lines when it's raining.

I wasn't doubting I just wanted to read about the tests. What is failing them? Visibility or blinding people? I've always preferred hid as the light seems to carry further.

Here's the legacy FWIW...got a 'good' rating with the HIDs and 'marginal' with the halogens.

Anyway...now we're getting off track a bit so I apologize.

It's on topic I would think because of Subarus safety marketing. I'm curious if they were pushing for those marks

Yeah I suppose. If you look up any random pickup, F150 let's say, they get poor ratings...both LED & Halogen. I'm glad the IIHS is getting involved and testing lighting though. It's kind of important to be able to see.

I know, right?! The new Foresters have one as an option though. I believe the '17 models. I'd love one TBH...especially in MI and being that I don't like driving with gloves on.

I just see things like heated steering wheel and power Recaros and think "weight penalty."

I'd much rather see the STI lose 300 lbs than be more refined.

This stupid ideal of "moar powaaa" is not right for this type of car. Keep 300hp, lose 0.9L of displacement, and 500lbs, and that's an STI I'd really want.
2015 CWP WRX STi ... But how did I get roped back into an EJ motor?!

You, sir, are making WAY too much sense, for the Internet.
    You're out.

Any chance we will see new exterior colors for the 2018's?

Guaranteed that and Android auto are included on the 2020 model. I'm surprised how slow the roll out has been with Apple CarPlay.

That's so far away. I would consider holding out for a 2018 if I knew they'd get it, but I might just go for one now.

Looks promising. I like the new front fascia--looks kinda Lexusy in some views, but I think the front on lighter body colors needs a dark contrast to set it off. The brake and wheel upgrades are nice additions as well.

Based on the pics, I don't see a huge change to the interior, but any improvements are always welcome. Better sound insulation is a big plus. OTOH, I like the moonroof and would hate to give it up for the performance package...

Outside of a major redesign, my wish list would include a much better stereo HU with Apple connectivity. In the middle of winter I REALLY miss the heated steering wheel on my BMW. I'd also like to see an OEM roof rack that can easily be added for
IDK--much as I like my '17 WRX, I'd be tempted to look at the '18 STI's when they're available. I don't know if I have the patience to wait til 2020.

You can buy a nicer stereo than anything Subaru will offer with Android auto
