    Subaru Sales: August 2012

    August sales total 28,293.
    The total for August is up 36% over 20,837 August 2011, and is the 2nd best August ever. #1 was August 2009 with 28,683, That was due to the Cash For Clunkers explosion.
    YTD through August 2012 is 217,780, up 25% over 174,616 in 2011
    Outback :11,285, up 49% over 7572 2011
    Legacy: 3,872, up 18% over 3271 August 2011
    Impreza: 4,719, up 84% over 2,559 August 2011
    WRX/ STI: 681, down 15% from 801 August 2011
    Forester: 4,719, up 8% over 6429 August 2011
    Tribeca: 157 down 23% from 205 August 2011
    BRZ: 623

    I believe it. Seems like every month there are another 1 or 2 Subarus in my works parking lot.

    WRX/STI down... carry some inventory. But I will live with resale value

    August was a bad month, in between '12 and '13 models, dealerships didn't have wrx/sti's in stock.
