New Homepage

Hi Guys,

As you can see there's a new "home" tab on the top of our site, the home page is a new content management system and we'll be posting news and announcements. If you're accustomed to the forum layout you can bookmark the forum area of the site and come directly to the forum.

It's still under construction and we'll be adding contents to it from time to time

I don't see a "home" button, but when I manually enter ClubWRX.net: Subaru Impreza WRX and WRX STI Online Community and Forums I get an error box saying I don't have access to this page.

Where do you see a home page? when I enter

http://www.clubwrx.net

it redirects to

http://www.clubwrx.net/forums

and gives me an error message. And there is no "Home" button anywhere on my screen. This, and all the other things in the update forum is why I hated vB4 when it was introduced, and why I left those forums. More than a year later, and it still doesn't work right! @%#@$%

Oh, and there's not CODE tag button in the edit text box...

oh, and you should add a vendor widget to the home page like the old one had

also, when you click the "clubwrx" logo in the upper corner it should take you to the new home splash page instead of the forum

Same here. Once logged in, I don't have permission -- yet I'm logged in.

Incidentally, when searching using "advanced" the behaviour is now different. If I search for all threads in which I've participated by searching for my user name specifically, it only shows me threads I've initiated.

Pre-erich and SD-GR, I'm sorry for the difficulties. There seems to be some new inconsistancy problem with the custom usergroups ( ie.moderators / vendors) due to the new switch. I've fixed the problem for you guys individually but I'll talk to Tim to see if we can find a solution to reach everybody across the board as I'm sure there are more people with this problem.

If anybody else has problems accessing the new splash page, let me know through PM or post on this thread and I'll fix it for you on an individual basis until we can find the source of the problem.

By the way I took the homepage out temporarily because it was giving us some errors, on top of that there's an error with the search log. As soon as I get a chance to fix everything I'll put the homepage back up.

Tim... still getting some db errors....


ie quick reply... doesn't refresh the page, and it says there was a database error. Also, any form of search isn't working right now.
