    Hey whats up. I have always been a WRX fan, I currently own a saturnsc2 with nitrous. I was plaining on turbo charging it, but I am about ready for something different, and a car that would be more reliable.

    With the saturn S series car's there where years that where better then the others, so my question is. Is there a speciffic year WRX that would be better then the other years?

    I have found some 2002, and I was looking a 2005 wrx that was slightly used and they had it for 22k but it got sold?

    hello and welcome. It seems to me that the older WRX's (02-03) seem to have a higher resale value. i dont think too much has changed tho over the years besides looks. The transmissions have been improved however. you should be happy with any year, there isnt one "bad" issue

    Thanks for the welcome guys, I am trying not to be a newb and just look around and read, I already have alot of basic performance knowledge down from my past cars, I had a ford probe with a mazda jspec 2.0 motor swap, and it was turbo charged, then I have my saturn which I have done some stuff to it, the most major is nitrous.

    welcome to the board. Like someone else said there are minor changes through the years like suspension bits and transmission, but the biggest changes are looks and interior. There really aren't any problems that sets an year apart from another.

    again thanks I found a used 04 wrx at folgers subaru for 20k and change, maybe I can talk them down to 18,9 or 19 on it.

    Superstaurn - I used to own a modded satty as well - it was an 01 coupe with almost every bolt on imaginable but it was just a friggin joke compared to the rex - I hope you enjoy your stay here - ps you're not on saturnspeed.com by any chance are you? that site used to be my old stomping grounds before it was overrun by jerks, 16 year olds, street racers, and guys who have no knowledge whatsoever - man that place was great a couple years back - just crazy dudes who auto'xd the snot out of their saturns and really modded them cleanly......

    No my stomping grounds is turbosaturns.net not sure if you have been on there but there are some very impressive cars there.

    turbosaturns is a great site - I know of Ian (qksl2) I think he runs the site or something - his car is DAMN FAST!!!!!!!!they are definitely the only good satty site still around though

    ya ian helps run the site, he almost reached the 400 whp mark, his turbo went dead on him though, and mike "titan" the guy that runs the site is up in the 350 whp, and the other mike "boostedsl2 I think he is at 380 whp also, but his engine decided to take a crap on him.

    yeah man - I would have gladly turboed my satty but it wasnt awd and those engines really do seem to crap out bigtime once you really start to mod them - plus the differential pins love to exit the transmission at the most inopportune times
