yeah planning on getting a wrx, soon hopefully within the next week so i can use the rebate =D. i was just wondering if the WRX was the first manual car for any of u guys. and if it was how long did it take you to learn? i know the basic concept just never driven one.

i hope so... ive talked to the dealer and he doesnt mine me testing it out on one of his cars... i told him i never drove one before, but know the concept of a manual... so hopefully sumtime next week *cross fingers*
edit: hmmm this forum runs backwards....
I drove a bunch of different manuals before getting in my suby. Its pretty embarassing your first time, but after a bit you get used to it and it comes natural. You'll find yourself trying to push in the clutch of automatic cars. If the car starts shaking push in the clutch. Chances are you aren't giving it enough gas or letting the clutch out too fast.
