    New to forum and Turbo

    Hey All,
I have my eye on a 04 WRX. I've been a BMW guy for about 15 years (great cars), but I'm looking to do some financial fat trimming to save up for my wedding and the WRX seemed to be the best bang for the buck. Anyway being new to turbos I was wondering if there were anything I need to be aware of such as oil temp/pressure, general engine temp, etc, before I start hammering.

For what it's worth I enjoyed my test drive but my Mroadster and the WRX are apples and orages, 2 different worlds neither being better or worse. Gutteral low rev torque vs. hi-revving boost. Its going to be an interesting adjustment.

Thanks for you help in advance

    Hey, Welcome to the club

As far has if you need to know stuff about turbos. If you are going to keep the car "stock" then you dont need to know much of anything about turbos. Just break the car in properly (under 4k rpms for first 1,000miles) And dont beat the crap out of the car. You should be fine. And if it breaks thats what the WARRENTY is for

Twisty Monster - 335 ft/lb of torque @ 3600 rpm on a stock turbo. Is that possible? Yes it is.
