Alright guys I just bought an 02 WRX. My cousin has an 04 WRX. My car seems to idle louder than my cousins 04 from the outside. I know that he's car is a couple years newer, but is this normal for the 02. I'm used to driving mazda's and honda's, and still new to the subaru... thanks!
I have not heard of a specific problem related to what you are talking about. I would guess that it may have something to do with the fact that your car is older. Not sure though. I don't think that it is anything for you to worry about.

Perhaps you have a slight exhaust leak at your DP-midpipe junstion or fromt he midpipe to axelback. Other than that I cant think of anything. Glad to have another subie on board
