I am the proud new owner of an 05' Silver WRX sedan... I have wanted one of these cars since I saw the first commercial on TV for one four years ago... Well, at that time I couldn't afford one. This was truly one of those 'good things come to those who wait' scenerios.
I have had several cars in my 28 years. 89' Mustang 5.0LX (still have it), several winter beater cars, pickups, an 03' Tiburon (clutches are junk in those), an 03' VW Jetta 1.8T (with some mods, she ran good), and an 00' GT Mustang. I can honestly tell anyone that the WRX is the best overall car that I have ever owned. I absolutely love it.
This car closely matches the acceleration of the 1.8t that I had (running 18lbs of boost), handles better then the 00' stang, and gets better gas mileage than my wifes 04' Santa Fe... Plus, I can drive it in winter (a big plus in Iowa-Illinois)...
Just wanted to share my new found pride and joy...

Yeah, some... I think the first thing I am going to do is get the silencer delete elbow. I think the turbo is waaaaayyy too quiet on the WRX. My 1.8T had quite a whistle when I put an open element filter on it. Then probably an uppipe, downpipe, and boost gauge will come in no particular order...

with the delete elbow you will lose some sound still. i'll suggest removing the silencer and covering the hole in the fender. thats what i've done and have had no problems for thousands of miles.
i would then get the boost gauge before the up/dp. that way you can watch for any boost spike that may arise, although i don't think thats a big deal.
also, might want to look into some better tires. the stock re92's are pretty much worthless for any performance driving.

I'd like to be in your shoes one day. My plan is to get my rex (only been a memeber for over a year and still dont have one) Then get a cheap fox to mod and beat on. That way the wrx will stay stock and do it's job, while the coupe takes most of my abuse.
Enough about me.......details on your stang? Vortech, kenne bell (haha..numbers to low for kb) Procharger? HP Turbo kit....detail please......pics if the wrx boys wont ban me for asking.
0-60 faster then your first sexual experience.

Welcome!
Glad to hear you are thinking on the right track with your mods and will not be getting a CAI and BOV as your first mods.![]()
