    Whats up everybody

Just wanted to drop a line and say hi to everybody. I just bought a 03 WRX about a month ago and love every minute I spend in it. This is my first Subaru, so if anybody has any advice, it would be greatly welcomed. Anyway, I look forward to doing a few more things to it besides the 18"s and cold air intake in the near future. Thanks for listening.

+1 for ditching the intake and getting the downpipe. The downpipe is a much more beneficial modification

    Welcome to the club.

Ditch the intake. It is bad for the car and will not increase any power. Spend the money on uppipe or downpipe. You will be much happier you did.

I didnt realize that intakes are looked so down upon for the rex, I have always thought that the more the car breathes in , the better the performance. I only paid $70.00 for my k&n typhoon cold air intake brand new from a friend that won it at a show. Well, do all you guys just run the factory air box or something else.

The factory box is extremely efficient. The only time you really need to upgrade is when you either go with a FMIC, or a really big turbo. If you must use one, go with a short ram. CAI's mess up the AF ratios. Short rams have also been rumored to mess with them too.

Twisty Monster - 335 ft/lb of torque @ 3600 rpm on a stock turbo. Is that possible? Yes it is.
