New to WRX & the Forum

Traded in my ' 01 Xterra on this ' 02 WRX hatchback. Nice to drive something fast for a change. When you drive SUV's for many years( this was my second) you tend to forget how much fun driving can be given the right vehicle. This was all brought back to me a year ago when a friend bought a Cooper S. After driving it a few times I was hooked on "fun" again. But a Mini would be just too small for us ( canoeing, skiing, mtbing, etc), the closest Dealership 100 miles away, & AWD is great for all the snow here in winter. Snowed today & -11deg C tonight. I'm sooo lovin the heated seats too
Also got some winter rims with Michelin Alpin Pilot snow tires. They go on in a week or two.

BTW - here is my "X" as they say..

Normally hatchbacks are 2dr, and wagons 4dr.

I wondered if that might be it.

    Welcome to the club!

And just too state the obvious, the WRX doesn't come in 2 doors.

    Enjoy the ride

hmmmmm...I never thought about it. 4dr vs. 2dr. sounds good to me. It just seems that when people who are not subaru people saw my car, they'd call it a hatchback. I would correct them, and say no...it's a wagon. So out of habit I corrected you lol

It's kind of fuzzy isn't it. Consider VW Golf. Most call it a Hatchback wether it has 2 or 4 doors. I lean more toward the Mazda 6 example. They have the sedan, the sport wagon ( same configuration as WRX sport wagon) plus the hatchback, which looks like a sedan but the trunk lid and rear glass area are 1 unit like a wagon liftgate. At one time ( many years ago when I was young) I think that configuration used to be called a "fastback". Anyone remember that terminology?
