New to WRX community - 1 quick question

I just bought my car last week. As you can see by my sig, I'm not new to the turbo world, and know a little about modding cars for turbo.

I've noticed a lot of people talking about CEL's regarding Up-pipe/downpipe install due to cat elimination.

I pretty much figured out (through searches) how to fix the up-pipe CEL with the 2.2 resistor, but what about the downpipe? Same thing?

    Thanks in advance guys!

On a side note, how much louder will it be? I still have my OEM muffler.

Sorry for all the questions, I hate looking like a newb......

That's definently the thing to get. If you are planning on getting a CobbAccesport, it will also take care of the CEL.

Volume depends on what you get. Some systems are quieter than others.

One thing to note is the the ponyexpress elim shuts off the cel light but doesn't get your ecu to read "ready" for that warning. You will not pass OBD-II scans.

What you need to get is a perrin simulator. This gets the ecu to read "ready".

At idle it will rumble better but it won't be really loud. When you rev it will be noticably better souding and louder than stock, but nothing really loud.

Yes, hardly noticeable when compared to aftermarket mufflers.
