Am I in the right place???

    Hello all.
I just purchased a new 05 Legacy GT LTD with manual trans. I realize that this is a WRX site, however, I'm not finding any sites for the improved performance of the new Legacy GT. Being that the new GT shares some pedigree with the STI, I hope it's okay to hang out here and learn, maybe ask some questions about what, where and how the best performance upgrades can be had?
    thanks

like with nearly all performance cars out there, if you get rid of the catalytic converters, it free's up the exaust and everything works so much better. on a turbo car, you get a better spool up included with more horsepower. good luck with that new GT, post some pics, i think their dead sexy

Another long time member, KanosWRX just traded in his WRX for a Legacy GT. Send him a PM to get in touch with him.

Congrats and welcome dude! I wave at every legacy gt i see man so you are more than welcome by me. I am trying to convince my father to buy a gt right now - he has an 03 cl type s but he drove my car a few months ago when it was brand new and fell in love - just said it was too small - so I think the legacy would be a good choice - keeep us updated on how much you love the car - Dan

I had an 01 Passat with the 1.8 turbo, chipped with eibachs and 17's. This car blows it away! I was all set to get something with more ....shall we say..."panache"....so I test drove the C230, 325i, Acura TSX, Audi A4 ultrasport quattro (this was the car I was really primed for) and the Infinity g35. After even going back and re-testing some of these cars I felt that they did'nt come close to the pure seat of the pants performance that the Legacy GT gave me. It is really a thrilling car to drive, especially with the momo short shifter. I would like to try some sort of a chip and some modest lowering springs. What chip is everyone running and is there a way to hide it from the dealer?
