just thought id say heh,


im am just finalizing a deal on a new 05 wrx, trading off my 03 honda crv. my other ride is a 01 integra.

i think my first mod is going to be the cobb stage 1, it has to be undetected by the wife, so..... she told me that i have the integra to mod, and cant mod the wrx when we get it, so i agreed

anyways any advice on little things to add would be appreciated, thx guys.....

Welcome to the club! Great first mod choice. Too many people talk about getting blow off valves and cold air intakes as their first mods. I am running the Cobb 2.5 map and I love it. I also have friends that run other maps and love them too! As for other undetectable mods you might be able to pull off a TurboXS stealthback exhaust and keep the rear muffler. The exhaust sounds basically stock except for some turbo noise. Then you could run the Cobb stage 2 map.

does the AP have to stay plugged in?

and the exhaust may fly if its not loud.

The AP does not have to stay plugged in. The stealthback with catpipe and stock muffler is very quiet.

I'm kinda on the same boat as you. My dad would KILL me if he knew i modded my car. He kept insisting that the WRX is a great package out of the box, and there is no need to change it! I have the TurboXS stealthback, and it is super quiet, except under hard acceleration. (turbo spool up is much more obvious) At idle it is undetectable, and under normal driving with the radio on as well. I also have the Eibach Prokit which I love and he just hasnt noticed that the car is a lot lower. So the stealthback with a Cobb Stg 2 map would be the way to go in your case. I think thats where I am headed as well. Enjoy the new car bro!
