    I feel like an idiot.

I'm not a noob when it comes to cars, and I've read a lot about Subies over the past few months I've owned one. I'm also no stranger to racing, but one thing about it eludes me:

What the hell is racing "from a dig"?
I seriously can't figure it out. I'll read a race thread and guys will say "well we raced from a 45mph roll, raced from a dead stop, and raced from a dig"
Is it like, decelerating and then stomping it? I can't figure it out.
Search didn't turn up much in the way of an explanation.
This is almost embarrassing to ask

    Alright.
In all honesty, before having been to this forum; I'd never read or heard this term before.

    It's not anything new.

But I guess people with AWD prefer to go by it more.
