Red face Hey guys, came over here from NASIOC...I hope you guys are more friendly..

Just what the title states, I'm brand new to this forum but hope to become a regular. I still have an account with NASIOC and I enjoy that site but the people on there are so incredibly ignorant when it comes to asking for advice/questions/etc. etc.

Please note, I pay for everything my self, yes that includes my 2004 Subaru WRX + mods.

    Current Mods:
    Cobb AP STG 2
    TBE
    Perrin Turbo Inlet

I DO NOT STREET RACE and heck, I don't even drive the car hard.

I came here looking for advice, here's kind of what happend to me today..

I'm driving home from the local Pizza Hut (about a mile from my house) and I hear a clicking noise coming from second gear when in gear. When I hold the clutch in the sound goes away. However in neutral without the clutch being engaged the sound is still present. I'm not quite sure what is going on, I DO NOT drive this car hard but the guy before me (well thats questionable)

    Current Mods:
    Turbo Inlet
    TBE
    Cobb AP STG 2

I sent a PM to one of the guys that had this problem "legacydreams" or something but he has not yet returned a PM.

    HAPPY FRIDAY THE 13th....

Is it only in second gear? If there is a click or rattle that goes away when the clutch is disengaged (pedal down) and comes back sometimes (initially) then all the time (terminal stages) when the clutch is engaged (pedal up) it might be your throw-out bearing.

BTW people here are generally nice, although I can be a nuisance at times.

EDIT: I reread your post. Since it happens in neutral also, it could be your throw-out bearing.
EDIT2: Double check my descriptions of engaged/disengaged clutch and see if the pattern fits my description.

We're very dysfunctional and generally strange over here, but pretty nice.

Greetings and welcome to the club!

    2004 stage 2 WRX here.

I think you will find us a more friendly place to hang out and ask questions.

As long as you do not ask which BOV you should get.
