    235/40/17 too wide with drop?

Hey guys hope someone can help me. I bought a set of used wheels and tires. They are Rota Torque with BFG KDW's and the tires are 235/40/17. I was told that with the springs that I'm putting on the car (tein) that they might rub, affect speedo and abs. Is this true or am I ok to mount them? Thanks for the help.

I hope you mean Tein H-Techs and not the S-Techs. If its the H-Techs you should have no problems.

the springs wont affect the speedo or the abs but the rim size and weight will. I have 225/40/18s on my car and i calculated that they were 1.2% off of my stock rims/tires so you shouldnt be too far off. The difference in weight of the new setup will make your abs work a little funky though, nothing you wont be able to live with though.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm not sure if I'm gettin the H or the S because I can't read the handwriting on the receipt from the shop I ordered them from. They come in tomorrow so I guess I'll see where I go from there. Thanks again.

FYI a 235/40/17 is about a full half inch smaller than a 225/45/17 tire. Your speedo will be quite wrong.

I just looked at the tires and the front left is more worn than the right but the backs are just fine. What could that be from?

Hard driving and/or lack of tire rotation.

On a sedan I doubt they would rub.
