'07 WRX TR or '07 WRX? Audio advice needed

I'll be buying an '07 WRX within the next 4 weeks. Here's my dilemma:

Money is tight, so I'm thinking TR. I've driven one and the problem is that the audio system is in the TR is feeble. I know that the regular WRX has an upgraded stereo among other things, but I've not had the opportunity to drive one let alone listen to its sound system, since there's not one to be found within 200 miles of where I live.

I've been through stereo upgrades in other vehicles and they can be both troublesome and very expensive, so I'm hesitant to go with the TR because I know the car will have to be carved up like a Thanksgiving turkey to accommodate the separates, amp, and sub.

Is the regular WRX worth the extra grand or would I have to do sound system surgery on that car as well.

    Your input would be appreciated.

    TIA,

    Spudlite

If you are really into music, you will not be able to replace the stock setup on either models fast enough. Same would apply to any other reasonably priced car out there. Stock is basically rubbish. That being said, stereo equipment does not cost very much in comparison to the car, or other upgrades you might make. A decent head unit and 4 reasonably priced speakers is enough to keep me happy

ya man. I have a WRX sedan and well in my last volvo i had all Polk momo and some polk signiture refererence in the fronts. With some alipne type R's for my "bump in da trunk" lol. and when i got the wrx well i mean they are not TERRIBLE but don expect to get much bass or very clear highs or mids. I just replaced my speakers with Focals in the front, MOMOs in the back, and a JL audio sub in the back WAAAAY better. It looks like the old speakers were made of some cheap plastic/foam and the magnets look like there all the same on the tweeters and other speakers lol. THey magnets are tiny. So long story short...if your into SQ either sound system will pry not do it for you. But since your tight on money i would say get the TR and use that grand u wulda spent on the Sedan towards a Audio system.
