I just joined. Here is my story. I got my 06 WRX (Crystal metallic gray) in Nov. I still got my tricked out 92 Honda Prelude Si 4WS but she is like 2.5in of the ground..which means my body kit will be plowing some snow in Chicago winter. I was looking to get me a Lexus IS300 so I test drove many of them. One day I was car shopping and it was raining damn hard. I took some hard corners with the IS300 and even with traction control it was just ok. I went over to a near by dealership where I had a dealer friend just to see watz up. Then before I know it I was test driving the WRX in the pouring rain and I bought the car mins later. Impluse buy of my lifetime.....

You won't regret the decision! As a previous honda owner, i've learned that the WRX is a completely different ball game when it comes to modding. Do a lot of searching, because there is a wealth of knowledge on here. Welcome to the club!!!

COngrats on the buy! Yes, the confidence of AWD is what makes the difference. That plus having a five star safety rating, PLENTY of torque and power, are a plus!

Welcome to the forum, please feel free to post up any questions, maintenance, or mod questions you may have! The site here is really helpful, and there are people from all over the place, (with several in the Chicago area.) Again welcome, check out the site, the search button is your friend, and have fun! Enjoy your purchase!!!

Best way to decide i did the same, but i never test drove mine i only sat in him in the showroom and i was hooked .
Deposit paid. picked him up the next week and i have never regretted it for a second.
Enjoy your buy and be careful, they are quicker than you think.

Don't listen to Bo over there. He doesn't care for the Ludekind. all wheel steering rocks...but all wheel drive rocks even more!

congrats on the purchase! You will love the car for years to come.
