    Thanks for the comments guys.

I've also got 1 question. It seems that I can't open the trunk from inside the car (from the little lever to the left of the driver seat on the floor)... is there something that I need to do to get this to work? Otherwise I'm bringing it back in to the dealership in about a week and I'll ask them about it. They are also putting on a wing when I bring it back in, which I forgot to mention in the first post

Skip having them put on a wing and just trade with someone. There are plenty of people that would love to have a wingless trunk. You might even make a few bucks out of the deal.

Well, I think it's a bit too late at this point :P

I personally like the wing look better than wingless.. but who knows, maybe I'll change my mind in the future and end up trading the wing for a wingless trunk ><

Now for the first mod.. one of my friends from work who owns a Subaru said that a boost controller would be a good, fairly inexpensive first mod. Any comments?

edit: oh yeah, also does anyone know about the issue with the trunk not opening from the inside?

The actuator cable most likely came undone. You could give that a look and see if it is an easy fix, or since it's new take it to the dealer and have them fix it.

Your friend owns a Subie and told you to get a boost controller?

I think he either wanted you to get flamed on a message board, or he doesn't own one of the new WRXs. 1st mod should be engine management (provided that you are already a competent driver). Engine management will provide the strong foundation to build on.

^^^^ I agree with what he said about a Boost Controller....not something you should put on your car really, especially not as a first mod.

Here are some links I suggest you check out (and perhaps have your subie buddy check out as well!!!)
Everything you could want to know about Subarus and ClubWRX
    The "Good first mods" sticky
And here's great coverage of FAQs from NASIOC.

Thanks everyone for your input. Yeah I'm not very familiar with Subaru's... or modding cars in general for that matter. I was mainly interested in basic information about the car to make sure that it would be a good buy for me, but now that I've got one I am starting to dig a little deeper and learn as much as I can about the specifics. I'm learning more and more every day, and I will definitely gain much more knowledge before I do any actual mods (in hopes to not screw up :P).

    Thanks again!
