    Cool About to be converted

    Hi, new to the forum.

I hada 06 MKV gti, that got totalled, and insurnace is giving me near 25k back.
i'm thinking about getting a 06 WRX wagon.
I have no idea what mods there are to the car and what is best.
what would you do with say around $1000 to mod the car.

    thx
    Jon

    Springs - $225
    Rear Sway Bar - $200
    -------------------------- Huge difference in handling
    Downpipe - $200
    Tractrix Data Cable - $90
OpenECU map - $??? free if you can tune urself, or find a nice person
-------------------------- Add 55whp or more over stock

That leaves you with about $285 for tires

Or Cobb Stage 2 = Downpipe + Cobb AP = $700 or so

Tires and suspension would be my first move. That car is pretty damn quick as is. You also don't get much more out of it without a turbo swap. The turbo is very much the limiting factor.

i'm a college student, and i can afford around $2000 worth of mods per semester.
I'm just trying to see what options i have and what is a wise mod.

also what kind of tires are on this car?
