First seven days in my new 07 STI

Unbelievable...that's all I can say - and I'm not even halfway through the break-in period. What a car, and I can't even wind it up yet (even though I have cheated a few times. Can anyone resist?) It's no wonder there's such a fraternity of WRX and STI owners out here. Mine's pearl white, as you can see by the pic.

I've been dreaming about buying an STI for years. All it took was a break-up with my ex of four years to put me over the edge. The sound of that engine is the best therapy money can buy.

Anywho, I'm glad to make my first post and look forward to learning more from all of you seasoned STI owners. Peace...and great job to all for creating a great site for Subaruphiles.

BTW - the dealer license plate frames aren't long for this world. Got the black stainless STI ones in the mail. Had to say that, as I just can't trust a man with dealer plate frames...especially on a car like an STI. Peace.

Maryland, branemaniac. Got the "M" right! Thanks for the kind words, guys. I'm still in love with this thing stock, but I'm sure mods will be coming. Starting with a tint, naturally. Anybody ever have 3M Scotchgard applied to their front end? For those who might not know, it's a clear paint protection film...seems like a good idea. From what I hear, Subaru's paint chips easily.

520 miles into the break-in. I'm past halfway...

Lovely car. Perfect color combo. If you could give up the STi and have your ex back, would you?

    Congrats.

Welcome to the club and nice car. What part of Maryland are located in? If you are interested in some meets let me know and I'll dig up some links.

I cant wait till spring time to trade in my wrx for a STI. If I wasnt worried that it would snow again I'd get a STI tomorrow. Good luck.

Stick with the Subaru rather than the women, she will have the STI instantly.
Just think the car will cost you a fortune -just like women do, but the car won't answer you back, and is a damn sight more loyal.
