hi guys i'm new to subaru been a honda guy. looking into the 06 and 07 sti. was wondering why is there a difference in the hp and tq for 06 and 07?

Yeah I see it was 300hp, 300lb/ft in 2006 and it's now 293hp, 290lb/ft for 2007. Same small drop with all the other turbo models. I was wondering the same thing. From what I've heard, there is no difference in performance or tuning, it's because Subaru is now conforming to new SAE standards for HP ratings. So apparently it's just politics and number games.
