    [New] - just got the 07 Sti

    whats up fellas ... im new to this site and im also new to the wrx/sti car ... i was into hondas but decided to change it up a bit - i know nothing about these cars except that thay are awd/turbo and fast - so any info yall can share with me would be nice ... stock turbo size?? best brand name performance parts to use. are they any big diff. between the new sti and prev years Etc... ....... thanks

    as mentioned, the search will help along as well as the links Speedette mentioned.

    stock 2007 turbo is a VF43, up from the VF39 used 2004-2006.

    Cobb, Perrin, Crucial Racing are 3 names that always stand out with me when thinking about good quality parts. I am sure there are others that have preferences, but those are mine.

    Some other changes outside of bodywork stuff other than the turbo:

    The wheels were a 5x100 in 2004, but have since moved to 5x114 2005 +.
    ECU is programmed differently for 2007
    Different heads for better flow in 2007
    no longer has sodium filled valves (due to better cooling heads)
    different gear ratios for better driveability
    AUX jack for an IPOD/MP3 Player
    front control arms are different for 2007
    2007 gets the center armrest with rear pass through.

    Console changed for 2005 as well.

    I am sure there is more I missed.
