    Noob to Subarus

Hello everyone, I'll be picking up and STI in March to replace my 06 Cobalt SS S/C and I had a question that I hope you guys can answer. Does the car have any weak points? For example GM apparently doesn't know how to put a properly sized axle on their cars like in my Cobalt. Does Subaru have any such problems. Is the general consensus that Subaru stands behind their product and doesn't use tread wear as a warranty voiding evidence? Thanks in advance for help. I heard this was The WRX forum to be in.

Thanks, I hope too many people don't have it. I've been reading the tranny thread and it seems Subie is having a harder time with it than GM is. Odd, I thought these things had bullet proof drive trains.

I've never seen a CB avatar, that's why I commented.

You did say you'll be getting an STi, so most of those gear-popping horror stories shouldn't apply to you & your 6-speed.

I hope so. I'm trading up to get rid of wheel hop, make launching easier and rid myself of GM's horrible customer service. Alot of the tranny stories I read were right up the alley of what Cobalt owners are being told. Makes me uneasy.
