while this thread is covered a few times a week, i'll give you some insight. Im not an expert on price, but as for the car itself... are you looking for 300 horsepower at the crank, or at the wheels? If you flash to Cobb stage 2, which is engine management, turboback exhaust, and if you also get a catless up pipe, you'll be in the vicinity of 280bhp and 220whp. Em = 700, Turboback = 500-750, Upipe = 100-200. So, for around 1500 or so, you can have close to STi power. If your looking for 300whp, you'll need a turbo upgrade, around the big 16g to 18g area. Of course, you will also need injectors and fuel pump, so doing this upgrade is gonna cost you around 2500 bucks, give or take a few hundred based on which brand you choose. However, one you get in the 18g, or even 20g range, your gonna be getting some stiff turbo lag. On top of that, you'll need to drive carefully, or your tranny will go bye bye in a flash. 300whp is gonna cost around 2500 in the beginning, but could get very costly in repairs if your not careful.
