    New owner needs advise

    Hey fellas,

I just bought a used 05 WRX with about 30k. It's auto (got it for personal reasons) and has an exhaust. I think it's the exhaust you can order from the dealer when you buy it new b/c it has no markings on it and it looks kinda stock. My ? is how can I get it to spool up quicker? Right now if i wanna get any response i have to mash the pedal at least half way. I don't wanna go crazy with mods yet i just wanna get rid of the terrible lag. Please help!
    Thanks
    Dave

    first welcome

there is a stickey for first mods to do I'll find the link for you but back to your question

get an Cobb AP the new ones run 695 but you could get a used v1 for about 450-500 that will wake it up even completely stock. next get a turboback exhaust and a catless uppipe should let you spool up nearly 500-750 rpms sooner and will have an amazing sound

edit: here is the link Good first mods

to reduce lag try changing up pipe, down pipe or complete turbo back and an acess port from cobbs

also next time try using http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/search.php

    Greetings and welcome!

Have a look in the Sticky in this forum: Sticky: Good first mods

A catless up pipe and enginie management will reduce at least some of the lag.

Thanks for the advise guys. I did check around the site and I didn't seem to find anybody that had an auto trans. I think it's just that I'm not used to the car b/c I seem to be finding sweet spots on the gas pedal for different situations the more I drive it. Thanks again.
