    New 07 STI Limited Owner

Hello. I just joined the forums tonight ( the same day I bought my 2007 Limited STI ). I am very excited to have my new car. I have some questions and will look through the forums later to see if I can get most of them answerd. My main question is this.

It seems the car has a few second lag before take off. For example. If i rev to about 5k rpm in 1st gear and let the clutch out the car seems to slip then start to take off.. what am i doing wrong? I would think i would get off the line before most cars but with this problem any car can get the jump.. ( i know I am a noob but try to help anyway ) thanks

Nothing to do with your question, but have you done a proper break in already?? Just curious.

I want to see a modded STI LTD. it seems as if though they are too nice of cars to mod.

Welcome to teh club and post some pics!!

As for launching, I personally would wait until it is broken in, but it's your car so big deal.

In the drag racing forum there are 2 stickies to look at. One for Launching, and another of a video for launching an STi. Might want to check them out.

Greetings and welcome to the club!

I just saw an STi Limited in a showroom last night. Gorgeous car! Best of luck with it.

I would follow the break in procedure outlined in your owner's manual before launching.
